Katavi's teenage pregnancy rate sits well above the national average. The clubs are designed to be low-key — weekly 45-minute peer-led sessions on puberty, consent, contraception myths and where to seek help.

Early reception
Attendance settled at around 35 students per club by week four; head teachers in all four schools have asked to extend the curriculum into form-three classrooms next term.
