As part of the USAID Afya Yangu — RMNCAH initiative, the ASUTA team recently conducted a Data Quality Assessment (DQA) at the ASUTA office in Mlele District, Katavi.
This assessment aimed to ensure the accuracy, reliability and completeness of the project's data — a crucial step for driving effective health interventions.

During the assessment, participants engaged in a systematic review of the collected data. The process included data verification, where team members cross-referenced collected data with source documents to confirm accuracy. Spot checks were conducted to randomly assess various data points, helping to identify potential inconsistencies. Open dialogue among team members facilitated the sharing of observations and recommendations.
Through this meticulous approach, the team was able to pinpoint specific areas where data quality could be improved. Reliable data is fundamental for effective program implementation and policymaking. It enables organisations like ASUTA to make informed decisions that enhance health interventions, measure progress accurately and allocate resources wisely.
