ASUTA opens 18 WORTH+ groups across Temeke — combining literacy, financial inclusion and HIV prevention into a single weekly cycle for vAGYW.

01

Why WORTH+

Lift the economic floor and the HIV-risk floor lifts with it. WORTH+ is a 26-week curriculum: 8 weeks of literacy, 10 weeks of business, 8 weeks of SRH and HIV — with a savings group as the spine that holds the whole thing together.

02

First-cohort numbers

18 groups, 412 vAGYW members, average age 19. Weekly savings contributions averaged TZS 2,800 by week ten — modest, but enough to make the cycle real to the members.
