Preventing HIV among Most at Risk Populations
From 2012 to 2015, ASUTA implemented the Rapid Funding Envelope for HIV/AIDS project, managed by Deloitte Consulting Ltd, in Bagamoyo district. The main objective was to prevent the rapid increase of HIV/AIDS infection within Bagamoyo communities by creating comprehensive HIV/AIDS preventive measures targeting Most at Risk Populations (MARPS).
The initiative focused on addressing the unique vulnerabilities and risk factors that made certain populations more susceptible to HIV infection, implementing targeted interventions that addressed both individual behaviours and structural drivers of risk.
